Tickets
Ticket Sale Conditions
Public orders will be filled, subject to ticket availability, after all orders from
Ravinia contributors have been filled. Although Ravinia is heaven on earth, it is
still subject to the burdens of everyday life including inclement weather, artist
and program changes, sold-out performances, and a bad hair day. No refunds will
be given unless a performance is cancelled in its entirety, with no replacement
performance scheduled.
Ticket Exchanges
Just like you can’t return the dress you bought for one special night, you
can’t return tickets to a concert that has already passed. Reserved-seat tickets
may be exchanged up to 24 hours before the date of the concert. Dated lawn tickets
may not be exchanged. Ticket exchanges may be done in person at the box office,
or by mail to Ravinia Festival, P.O. Box 896, Highland Park, IL 60035.
If you are unable to use your reserved-seat tickets, please consider donating them
to the festival for resale. You will receive a receipt for a tax-deductible donation
(who can’t use a tax break?). Ticket donations may be made in person or by
phone up to the time of the performance. All lawn ticket sales are final and there
are no refunds, exchanges or rain checks.
Fees/Prices/Discounts
Ticket cost includes municipal fee. Additionally, a $7 service charge is added to
all online, phone, fax and mail orders. Remember this is per order, not per ticket.
Lawn tickets purchased for rock, jazz, pop, blues, etc. performances beginning at
midnight on the date of the concert cost an additional $5 as opposed to lawn tickets
purchased in advance. Don’t be disappointed; plan ahead.
Calling all high school and college students! To recognize all your hard work and
to provide you with an easy outlet to relieve stress, present your student I.D.
to receive free lawn admission to CSO concerts (excluding Gala) and to Martin Theatre
classical performances. Want to get closer to the action? Upgrades may be purchased
for $10 when available on the day of the show.
Ticket Upgrades
Do you wish you could go back in time and buy reserved seating? No need to apologize
to your group. Upgrade your ticket the night of the performance at the box office
(subject to availability) by paying the difference between the lawn admission and
the cost of the reserved-seat ticket. You can still save the day and be a hero.
Children Tickets
Everybody needs a ticket, regardless of age or musical talent. Lawn seats for Chicago Symphony Orchestra concerts and classical performances in the Martin Theatre are free for children 15 and under. For all other concerts, lawn tickets for children 10 and under are $5.
We understand that your 3-month-old may be a huge Sting or James Conlon fan, but
unfortunately children under 7 are not permitted in reserved seats in the pavilion,
Martin Theatre or Bennett Gordon Hall except for family shows.

Rain Out
Although Chicago weather is predictably sunshine, lollipops and rainbows, occasionally
Poseidon will stir up hurricane-like conditions in Lake Michigan, causing Ravinia
lawn patrons to give new meaning to the term “storm troopers.” Come
prepared, as all concerts occur, rain or shine. For your convenience the Ravinia
Weatherline is updated daily with the expected forecast for that evening, call 847-266-5100.
Please note that all sales are final and no refunds will be made in the case of
inclement weather.
Cameras and Recording
Photo, video or recording equipment is strictly prohibited at all Ravinia events
in the venues. We know that your pictures and recordings are only going to be shared
with your closest friends (and millions of users online). Such equipment may not
be taken into any facility or used at any performance.
